Over 2000 films have been submitted to the 50th Krakow Film Festival. During the next month the Selection Committee and Director of the Festival will evaluate all the submitted films to qualify the best for: National Competition, International Short Film Competition and International Documentary Film Competition.

60th edition of Berlinale has started. We couldn't miss one of the most important film event of the year. Representatives of Krakow Film Festival are going to be in Berlin from Saturday 13th February till Thursday 18th February.

During Romani film festival 'When the Road Bends...Tales of a Gypsy Caravan' directed by Jasmine Dellal will be shown on 24th August in Kino Dworcowe in Wrocław. The film was presented on 47th Krakow Film Festival and it is distributed by Krakow Film Foundation.

The message about Allan King's death received yesterday from Canada has made us sad. Last year we had a pleasure to host Canadian director at 48th Krakow Film Festival, when as a Honorary Guest he received Dragon of the Dragons Award for his lifetime achievement.

The 49th Krakow Film Festival came to an end. Małe Instrumenty band played their mini-recital, The 20th Anniversary toast was proposed. Maciej Stuhr hosted the Grand Finale.

... but before we go home (to sleep off the intense week), we will know the Jury verdict. The Final Gala starts at 7.30pm and will be conducted by Maciej Stuhr.
Before the Award Ceremony there will be a mini-recital of Małe Instrumenty band, and then we will drink the Toast for the 20th Anniversary with Gazeta Wyborcza.

Danny Chanoch was as a child a prisoner of five concentration camps, and luckily he managed to survive. We had an opportunity to see his story in the film "Pizza in Auschwitz" directed by Moshe Zimerman. However, the greatest event for the audience was meeting Danny Chanoch.

The Dragon of Dragons was handed for the twelfth time. It has been presented since 1998. The first filmmaker, who gainedthe award was Bohdan Kosiński (1922-2003). Today Jerzy Kucia, one of the most known and respected authors of Polish animation has received Dragon of The Dragons.

A five-time Oscar nominee, American director and author of “Yippee: A Journey to Jewish Joy”, Paul Mazursky, have come to Krakow to open the 49. Krakow Film Festival. The press conference he attended was very interesting. During the meeting with journalists Paul Mazursky told a lot about his new film.

We are glad to inform you that in the second edition of the Polish Film Institute Awards, the 48th Cracow Film Festival is a nominee in the 'International Film Event' category and that a nomination in the 'Abroad Promotion' category went to the 'Polish Docs' Project, managed by the Foundation. It's the second nomination for the Festival and the first one for the 'Polish Docs' Project.
