Film director and producer born in 1955 in Chelyabinsk. A graduate of Moscow’s VGIK. In 1984-1993 he worked for the Sverdlovskaya Film studio in Yekaterinburg and in 1993 he began cooperation with Nikita Michalkov’s studio Three T. Since 1998 he has been working as a film teacher at VGIK. A director of the Ostrov Film Studio, which he co-founded in 1999. Awarded with the National Prize (1989). Until 1999 he was the secretary of the Russian Filmmakers Association. His films, including Born in the USSR, have won a number of prestigious awards.
Paweł Felis
Film critic, since 2009 programme director of Lubuskie Film Summer in Lagow. He comes from Kielce. He studied Polish philology at Warsaw University. Won 8th edition of Krzysztof Metrak's competition for young film critiics. Member of FIPRESCI. He publish in "Gazeta Wyborcza".
Igor Heitzmann
Director. Born in 1971 in Rendsburg, lives and works in Berlin. Studied music and theatre in Germany, film in Paris. In the 90s he worked as production assistant, translator, director's assistant in documentary and fiction projects. In 2006 he finished studies at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. He directed and wrote several short films, among them: Anthropophobia (1997), La Petite Mort (1998), Family (2000), Runaway (2002) as well as the awarded documentary feature A Father's Music (2007), which was presented in numerous festivals worldwide. Currently he prepares his next feature-lenght film.
Sérgio Tréfaut
Director and producer of documentary films. Born in 1965 in Brasil. His films Another Country (1999), Fleurette (2002), Lisboners (2005) received many awards and were shown in cinemas and tv in over 30 countries. His last film Lisboners telling a story about immigrants in Portugal was huge success. Sérgio Tréfaut is director of International Documentary Film Festival DocLisboa.
Andrea Prenghyová
Film director, director of Institute of Documentary Film in Prague. Born in 1972 in Prague. She studied journalism at Charles University and film direction at Film Academy. She took part in many international film and media workshops and scholarship programmes. Since the beginning of 90s she worked as a reporter for Reflex magazine and she produced films for Czech television. Since 1999 she was involved in organizing educational sections for International Film Festival in Jihlava. Currently she works on Kolem domu (Arround the House). The film is cooproduced by Czech television and supported by Fund for Support of the Czech Cinematography.

Zbigniew Rybczyński
Experimental film director, cinematographer and academic teacher, first Polish Oscar laureate (1983) for „Tango”. Born in 1949 in Łódź. Between 1983 - 2009 he lived and worked in USA, where he was making High Definition films and video art. Author of the innovational and well received by critics and public „Steps” (1986), „The Fourth Dimension” (1988), „ The Orchestra” (1990) and music videos for Simple Minds, Mick Jagger or John Lennon. Rybczyński, apart from Oscar, received many other awards and mentions: Emmy, The Golden Gate Award of San Franciso Film Festival, MTV Award, American Video Awards, the Billboard Music Video Award or Prix Italia. Zbigniew Rybczyński lectured on many universities: PWSFTviT in Łodź, Columbia University in New York, KHM in Cologne, Yoshiba University of Art and Design in Tokio, presently he runs School of 3D Animation and Visual Effects in Nowy Sącz in Poland.
Eduardo Chapero - Jackson
Director. Born in 1971 in Madrid. He studied arts and film direction in New York. In 1996 he came back to Spain and started to work as independent artist. Between 1997 and 2004 he worked as a producer in Spanish company Sogecine and took part in producing The Others (2001) dir. Alejandro Amenábar. For four years he has been studying acting. In 2006 he made short film Contracuerpo, which was nominated for Goya Awards. In 2007 he made Lightborne (Alumbramiento), which has won over 50 awards on many film festivals, including Golden Dragon for best film in the international competition. In 2008 he directed The End. Currently he studies psychology and prepares feature-lenght debut Verbo.
Chris Tidman

Shorts International is a UK-based, international media company backed by Liberty Global. It operates TV channels in France, UK and the USA and is the exclusive short film aggregator for independent producers wanting to get onto iTunes. Christopher has a strong background in both short form content and factual programming, having previously worked for companies like Discovery USA, Discovery Europe and Carlton International (now ITV Worldwide).He has over 12 years experience in broadcasting, content development, co-production and acquisitions.
Christoffer Oloffson
Film critic, programme director of International Short Film Festival in Uppsala. Born in 1971. He studied in Film Department of Stockholm University and History of Art and Esthetic department of Uppsala University. Member of the selection commitee choosing short and documentary films for Swedish Film Award.
Leo Kantor
Publicist. director of International Documentary Film Festival Humanity in the World, organizer of international seminars about Holocaust, tolerance and human rights. Born in 1940. In the end of 50s he studied Russian philology at Wyzsza Szkola Pedagogiczna in Opole, where he next became a teacher. Since 1969 lives in Sweden. In 1970-2005 worked at Stockholm University. In 1995-2005 was the member of Swedish Goverment Board for Ethnic Equality. Since 1990 he is the Head of International Culture Forum in Sweden. In 1989 received medal for his dedication to Polish culture and in 2007 Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.

Bogdan Dziworski
Film director, cinematographer, photographer and screenwriter. Born in 1941 in Łódź. For many years he was working for Wytwórnia Filmów Oświatowych in Łódź, professor of film and photography at University of Silesia in Katowice. Dziworski made about 40 short, medium and feature-length films, he is an author of many exhibitions and photo albums. Dziworski lectured at New York University of the Arts, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Columbia University and Film Society of Lincoln Center in USA, Centro de Capacitacion Cinematografica in Mexico, Ecole Cantonale D'Art in Lausanne, Switzerland, Den Danske Film Skole in Copenhagen and University of Lincoln in UK. He is the laureate of many awards of film festivals in Krakow, Leipzig, Oberhausen, Bilbao, Gdynia and San Sebastian.
Wiola Sowa
Animated films director. Born in 1972 in Gniezno. She graduated from the studio of Jerzy Kucia at Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. She received the Medal of Rector of Academy of Fine Arts for her diploma film Between Us . Professional debut Refrains brought her already several awards and special mentions at the most important animation film festivals in Poland and abroad, including Sliver Drago, Silver Hobby-Horse and FIPRESCI award at 48th Krakow Film Festival. member of Polish Filmmakers Association and "Studio A" Association of Animated, Experimental and Video Films Authors . Since 2008 she is the president of ASIFA Poland (Association Internationale du Film d'Animation).
Stefan Chwin
Writer, essayist, critic, historian of literature, graphic designer. Born in 1949 in Gdansk. Literature Professor at the Gdansk University. As a writer he made his debut as Max Lars with science-fiction novels: Ludzie-skorpiony (1985) and Człowiek-litera (1989). His next novels are: Hanemann, Esther, Złoty pelikan, Żona prezydenta, Kartki z dziennika, Dolina Radości and Dziennik dla dorosłych. For his novels and publications received many awards like: German Andreas Gryphius award, Erich Brost award, Polityka Passport, Foundation of Culture Award, silver medal Gloria Artis. In 1996-2003 he was the member of the jury of Nike Literature Award, he was also a member of the jury of 'Two Theatres' festival and Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. he publishes in Polish and international press. Member of Polish Writers Association, Gdansk Scientific Association and PEN Club.
Wanda Zeman
Editor of feature-lenght, tv films and tv series. Born in 1952 in Lublin. In 1986 she graduated from PWSFTViT in Lodz. Since 1975 editor in Wytwornia Filmow Fabularnych in Lodz. Third times awarded in Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for editing: Komblumenblau dir. Leszek Wosiewicz (1988), Psy (1991) i Psy 2. Ostatnia krew (1994) dir. Władysław Pasikowski. She worked with: Wojciech J.Has (Osobisty pamiętnik grzesznika... przez niego samego spisany (1986)), Andrzej Wajda (Wielki Tydzień and Panna Nikt (1996), Pan Tadeusz (2000)), Dorota Kędzierzawska (Koniec świata (1988) and Diabły, Diabły (1990), Jolanta Dylewska (documetaries: Kronikami getta według Marka Edelmana and Dzieci holocaustu), and also with: Hartmut Kaminski, Nico Brucher, or Xiao Hui Wang.
Grzegorz Jarzyna
Film and theatre director. Born in 1968 in Chorzow. Studied philosphy at Jagiellonian University and directing at PWST in Krakow. His diploma play was The Lunatics by Hermann Broch, where he assisted Krystian Lupa in Teatr Stary in Krakow (1995). Artistic director of TR Warszawa since 1998, general director since 2006. He is the laureate of many awards like: Grand Prix 21st Opolskie Konfrontacje Teatralne (1997), Polityka Passport (1998), Konrad Swinarski Award (1999), award of 25th Opolskie Konfrontacje Teatralne. In 2002 he received Award of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for exquiste contributions for promoting Poland abroad.
