Graduate of the Directing Department of the Film School in Łódź (1972). He has successfully practised various types of filmmaking - documentaries, including: 'Przechodzień' (1985), 'Pro toto' (1988), 'Piękny dwudziestoletni' (1988), 'Daj mi to' (1989), 'Całkiem spora apokalipsa' (2002); feature films, including: 'Światło odbite' (1989), 'Wynajmę pokój' (1993); TV series - 'Układ krążenia' (1978). Winner of numerous festival awards. He also works as a theatre director. Author of several volumes of poetry, educator.
