This harrowing story of Artur Ligęska, a Polish businessman and personal trainer illegally sentenced to life imprisonment in Abu Dhabi, was outlined using minimalist means. The film is a story of loneliness, the strength of spirit and an indomitable will to live, which helped the protagonist to survive months of isolation, torture and sexual violence. At the same time, it presents an unusual friendship between the Pole and Ahmed Mansoor, a local dissident and human rights defender who was serving a long sentence in the same Dubai prison, Al-Sadr.
