The film was shot during a 40 min hectic interview in which the filmmakers are looking for a safe place to talk. Crossing the city they talk to a young man who fought for the pro-russian armed forces in the Dombass conflict. They learn a few simple facts about his life and how he become who he is.

A film director and a screenwriter. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw in 2006. In 2004, she was a scholarship holder at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2012, she was a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture in Poland. In 2018, she graduated with honors from the directing department of the Polish National Film School in Lodz. Her films have been screened at various festivals such as: Berlinale, Karlovy Vary, Hot Docs, Cottbus, IDFA, Sydney Film Festival, Cannes Short Corner, New Horizons, Brooklyn Film Festival among others. Her short film Such a Landscape won the main prize for a student film, the Golden Tadpole at the Camerimage Film Festival (2013). In 2017, her film debut Tower. The Bright Day won the Best Debut and Screenplay awards at the 42nd Gdynia Film Festival and many other international awards. It was screened at the Berlinale in the Forum section. In 2018, she became a winner of the prestigious Polityka Passports in Poland. In the same year, she completed her second feature film Monument, which has received numerous awards in Poland and abroad (i.a. Special Mention at the 43rd Gdynia Film Festival). She lectures feature film directing at the Film School in Lodz and camera work at AST in Wroclaw. She is a vegan. A friend of the Open Cages Association.
