Jury of the 60<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> Krakow Film Festival<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acclaimed film industry figures, filmmakers, international festivals representatives as well as previous winners of the Krakow Film Festival and the hottest names in culture including Jan Komasa, Leszek Możdżer and Łukasz Żal! An impressive list of this year’s jury members as always will guarantee a professional assessment of the films in the competition. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the 60<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> Krakow Film Festival we will see over 150 films from around the world. Among them are documentaries, short films and animations that will take part in competitions: three international ones and a national one. International juries<\/a> (including FIPRESCI and FICC) will choose the winners who will receive awards amounting to 238 000 PLN<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year the head of the <\/span><\/span>Jury of the international short film competition<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/span> will be <\/span><\/span>Jan Komasa (Poland)<\/b><\/span><\/span> – film director, writer and producer. In 2019 he was nominated for the Academy Award for “Corpus Christi”, which won over 40 awards and visited nearly 70 festivals. His films were presented and won numerous awards at film festivals in Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Toronto, Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Chicago<\/span><\/span>, Rotterdam and Busan and attracted a cinema audience of over 5 million people in Poland. <\/span><\/span>In April his latest film “The Hater” won the Best International Narrative Feature award at <\/span><\/span>Tribeca<\/span><\/span> Film Festival<\/span><\/span>. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Short documentaries, live action films and animations will be also discussed by: <\/span><\/span>Marko Škop (Slovakia) <\/b><\/span><\/span>– philosopher, scriptwriter and acclaimed film director and producer; <\/span><\/span>Dekel Berenson <\/b><\/span><\/span>(United Kingdom) <\/b><\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span> <\/b>film<\/span><\/span> <\/b>director, writer, traveller, winner of the last year’s Krakow Film Festival and many other festivals<\/span><\/span>; <\/span><\/span>Paola <\/b><\/span><\/span>Orlić (Croatia) <\/b><\/span><\/span>– producer of the World Festival of Animated Film Animafest Zagreb, art historian, curator; <\/span><\/span>Csilla Kato<\/b><\/span><\/span> (Romania) <\/b><\/span><\/span>– head of programming at Astra Film Festival in Romania.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
