It includes discussion panels, presentation of animation projects and studios, as well as one-on-one meetings.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most important events of this year\u2019s edition, both for filmmakers and experts invited from around the world, will be a pitching session \u2013 a presentation of Polish animated short films in the final stages of production. Each project will be presented by its director and\/or producer in front of an audience composed of international specialists from the film industry: distributors, sales agents, festival programmers, and representatives of film institutions. This will grant the animated shorts a real shot at participating in international festivals and film markets. This year\u2019s Animated in Poland pitching session will feature eight projects, both student films and ones created by professional studios.<\/p>\n<p>SELECTED PROJECTS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Sheep<\/strong>, dir. Zofia Klamka, prod. Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw<\/li>\n<li><strong>Three Cups of Coffee<\/strong>, dir. Natalia Krawczuk, prod. LeLe Crossmedia Production<\/li>\n<li><strong>Show<\/strong>, dir. Jagoda Czarnowska, prod. Animation Film Studio \u2013 Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Nutcracker Girl<\/strong>, dir. Michalina Musialik, prod. Fumi Studio<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t Forget About Your Eyelashes!<\/strong>, dir. Oktawian Jurczykowski, prod. Polish National Film School in Lodz<\/li>\n<li><strong>Magda<\/strong>, dir. Adela Kaczmarek &#8211; Siwi\u0144ska, prod. Letko<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Miracle<\/strong>, dir. Ewa Borysewicz, prod. Letko<\/li>\n<li><strong>Conjuction<\/strong>, dir. Marta Magnuska, prod. Animoon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year, individual meetings will be held to give those involved in the projects an opportunity to talk to festival selectors, sales agents, distributor, and commissioning editors from TV stations.<\/p>\n<p>The presentations will be preceded by consultations and a workshop on pitching techniques held by Wim Vanacker \u2013 a member of the selection committee of the short film competition at the Cannes IFF and a long-time head of the NISI MASA Script Department and the European Short Pitch \u2013 one of the major short film pitch initiatives in Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The pitch session will be held on 31st May in Krakow.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The partners of the Animated in Poland pitching include Sound Mind and Fixafilm. As in previous years, one of the presented projects will receive a voucher for a 10-day sound post-production session in Sound Mind studio run by Micha\u0142 Fojcik. For the first time, Animated in Poland will award a prize sponsored by Fixafilm in the form of a voucher for image post-production services worth PLN 10,000. Crew United has also joined the group of prize sponsors.
