DOC LAB POLAND is the most important Polish programme focusing on consultation and pitching aimed at professional documentary filmmakers. Krakow Film Festival is the strategic partner of the project.<\/p>\n
The programme is divided into two parts:<\/p>\n

\u2022 DOC LAB START \u2013 for projects at the development stage or during early stages of filming; it ends with pitching at DOCS TO START!
\n \u2022 DOC LAB GO \u2013 for projects at the editing stage or during the preparation of the first editor cut; it ends with a presentation at DOCS TO GO!<\/p>\n

The long-range aim of the programme is to increase the opportunities of Polish documentaries in the world. DOC LAB POLAND focuses on the areas of co-production, promotion and distribution, and support of documentary projects (especially full-length films) which have a chance of succeeding in cinemas and creating a more friendly attitudes towards this kind of productions in Poland.<\/p>\n
This year, in June, the most important session of the DOC LAB POLAND programme took place as part of the 55th Krakow Film Festival \u2013 about 350 meetings devoted to projects presented in the programme were held. In October, in Warsaw, the last consultation session was organized to discuss documentaries at the development stage. In January, application process for DOC LAB POLAND 2016 will be announced.<\/p>\n

The last element of this year’s edition of DOC LAB POLAND is the meetings organized as part of Camerimage Film Festival in Bydgoszcz, on Wednesday, November 18<\/strong>. Paul Pauwels \u2013 the chairperson of the European Documentary Network, film producer, programme manager at Belgian teevision VRT, international expert and lecturer \u2013 will deliver an open lecture on the subject of \u201cEuropean documentary market \u2013 how to get there and stay there?\u201d <\/strong>The lecture will be followed by a short presentation about DOC LAB POLAND and a discussion panel with participants of this year’s programme on the topic of \u201cDevelopment and pitching \u2013 do I really need them?\u201d<\/strong>. The guest are: director Ewa Podg\u00f3rska and producer Ma\u0142gorzata Wabi\u0144ska (project \u201cDiagnosis\u201d), Maria Krauss \u2013 the producer of the project \u201cI Would Like to Tell You Everything,\u201d Jacob Dammas the director and producer of the project \u201cOlimpia\u201d (formerly: \u201cMr Jan and His 40 Girls\u201d), Katarzyna Trzaska, the director and producer of the project \u201cDivine!\u201d and Paulina Gaw\u0119cka, the director of the project \u201cAhead of Bill\u201d. The meeting will be moderated by Katarzyna and Adam \u015alesicki, directors of DOC LAB POLAND.
