The documentary distributed by Krakow Film Foundation will be presented in July at the ‘Letnie Tanie Kinobranie’ review.<\/p>\n

Documentary comedy "The Virgin, the Copts and Me" is a feature-lenght debut from young French director Namir Abdel Meesseh, that  won recognition at the festivals in Cannes, Berlin and Doha Tribeca in Qatar. It was presented at 52nd Krakow Film Festival and last autumn was distributed in Polish cinemas thanks to Krakow Film Foundation. <\/p>\n

The documentary is narrated by Namir, young French filmmaker born in a family of Egyptian Copts. Although sceptical about miracles, he decides to go to Egypt to make a film about Virgin Mary’s revelations, as commissioned by the French television. It will also be a return, important for him, to the country of his ancestors and the sources of his religion, as well as an opportunity to meet his family. However, when he arrives, things get so complicated that Namir will have to make a completely different film than the one he originally intended.<\/p>\n

"The Virgin, the Copts and Me" will be presented at Kino Pod Baranami in Krakow, between 5th and 11th July, as a part of summer seasonal review "Letnie Tanie Kinobranie".<\/strong><\/p>\n
