She studied at Edinburgh University, the Film Faculty of Columbia University and the New York Film Academy in NYC. She spent a few years at the Miramax Films studio working as a casting assistant on such films as King Arthur, Derailed and Tristan and Isolde. Her short film Gone (2006) has been screened at several film festivals.
