Like every year, Krakow Film Festival remembers about the youngest. The cycle ‘Kids Fest’ is prepared especially for <\/span>children. \nWhen the filmmakers went to the mountains of Nepal in 2005, they met nine-year-old Punam who lived in the village of Bhaktapur. At the age of five the girl lost her mother and since then she has been taking care of her siblings as her father needs to work all days to support the family. Punam tells about her life, her dreams and plans. She introduces her family, neighbourhood, and friends. Four years later, the film crew pays another visit to Punam and her family. What has changed in her life?

\nThe absurd title of A Bugle Call Player from theTower (Rolling Heads) conceals a story of a girl whovisits her friend, a bugle call player from Krakow’sSt Mary’s Church tower. Climbing the stairs, he reports on the city history as seen from his perspective.The film is a product of collaboration achieved as a result of workshops.

\nLeo, a strange lion who does not eat meat, is arecluse. One day he meets Avoria, a queen of an elephant herd, who has just become a mother of twinswith tangled up tails. In the course of tragic events Avoria becomes separated from her babies. Leon, who needs to adopt the dad’s role, traverses the savannahlooking for the legendary lake full of milk to feed thelittle elephants. He is accompanied by an extremelyvigorous old gnu, zebra, monkey and leopard.

\n<\/span><\/span>This picture is a tribute to children paid by the greatest cinema masters. It includes seven films portraying the life of children on different continents: Emir Kusturica’s Blue Gypsy, Spike Lee’s Children America, Katia Lund’s Bilu e Joao, Jonathan by Ridely and Jordan Scott, Ciro by Stefano Veneruso and Song Song and Little Cat by John Woo. Each director has created his unique artistic vision of the children’s world, their joys and sorrows as well as remarkable sensitivity.
