The second edition of the project is starting right now.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Docs4Teens &#8211; Building Bridges, a new European festival network, was established on the initiative of the Krakow Film Festival in 2021 together with the festivals Dei Popoli (Italy), FIPADOC (France), and Docudays UA (Ukraine). Its main aim is to promote documentaries among young people, as well as to support the international distribution of European documentaries aimed at young audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the success of last year&#8217;s edition, the next instalment of the project is being launched. It will be attended by young audiences at three European festivals, whose organisers want make them find a love for documentary cinema. This time, seven excellent documentaries await. Their creators give young people the motivation to keep going, accompany them through the biggest changes, and show them in situations that require them to fight for themselves and their future in an extremely complicated and technologized world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selected films will be screened at the ongoing Dei Popoli festival (Italy) \u2013 where the new edition of Docs4Teens is launch \u2013 at the FIPADOC festival (France, January 2023), and at the Krakow Film Festival (Poland, May-June 2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Films picked for the second edition of Docs4Teens:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Bgirl Badli<\/strong> dir. During the 8 festival days, viewers get the opportunity to watch approximately 200 films from Poland and the rest of the world \u2013 both in Krak\u00f3w\u2019s cinemas and on the Internet. The festival is included on the prestigious list of film events qualifying for the Academy Awards in the short film competition (fiction film, animated film, documentary film) and feature-length documentary film, as well as recommending films for the European Film Awards in the same categories, and qualifying short fiction films for BAFTA awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivaldeipopoli.org\/\">Festival dei Popoli<\/a> \u2013 held in Florence, Festival dei Popoli has a long history. The first edition took place in 1959. During over 50 years of its existence, the festival has managed to establish a recognizable brand in the documentary industry. In addition to the competitive section, reviews of outstanding filmmakers are a big part of the festival\u2019s program. It is equally important to reach young audiences, and for years the festival has featured a section aimed at young viewers \u2013 Popoli for Kids and Teens, where a separate prize is awarded by young jurors during the Young Jury Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fipadoc.com\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FIPADOC <\/a>\u2013 is an international documentary film festival that has been held since 1987 in Biarritz, France. During the six-day event, the audience gets see the most interesting documentaries of recent months and attend numerous meetings with filmmakers. The festival program also includes a section for young viewers.
