Seven Polish animated projects will be presented during the Animated in Poland pitching session as part of KFF Industry, the industry segment accompanying the 64th Krakow Film Festival.<\/b><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Animated in Poland is a section of the KFF Industry program focusing on Polish animated films. It includes\r\npresentation of animation projects and studios, workshops and one-on-one meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the most\r\nimportant events of this year\u2019s edition, both for filmmakers and experts invited from around the world, will\r\nbe a pitching session \u2013 a presentation of Polish animated short films in the final stages of production. Each\r\nproject will be presented by its director and\/or producer in front of an audience composed of international\r\nspecialists from the film industry: distributors, sales agents, festival programmers, and representatives of\r\nfilm institutions. This will grant the animated shorts a real shot at participating in international festivals and\r\nfilm markets. This year\u2019s Animated in Poland pitching session will feature seven projects, both student films\r\nand ones created by professional studios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, individual meetings will be held to give those involved in the projects an opportunity to talk to\r\nfestival selectors, sales agents, distributor, and commissioning editors from TV stations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The presentations\r\nwill be preceded by consultations and a workshop on pitching techniques held by Maarten van Gageldonk \u2013\r\nthe Head of Program for Kaboom Animation Festival, the largest animation festival in the Netherlands. He\r\nalso teaches in the Master of Animation at the Master Institute of Visual Cultures (MIVC) in Den Bosch. In\r\nrecent years he co-edited the book Animation and Memory (2020), published by Palgrave Macmillan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pitch session will be held on 28th May in Krakow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The partners of the Animated in Poland pitching include Sound Mind, Fixafilm, Crew United and Wroc\u0142aw\r\nFeature Film Studio. As in previous years, one of the presented projects will receive a voucher for a 10-day\r\nsound post-production session in Sound Mind studio run by Micha\u0142 Fojcik. For the fourth time, Animated in\r\nPoland will award a prize sponsored by Fixafilm in the form of a voucher for image post-production services\r\nworth PLN 10,000. Crew United is going to award a subscription to various services available on its website.\r\nand Wroc\u0142aw Feature Film Studio will award a WFF Special Mention worth PLN 30,000 in the form of an in-\r\nkind contribution to the production of a film made by the awarded director\/producer or their next project\r\nby lending equipment and infrastructure and performing selected services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
KFF Industry is a program of industry events for film professionals present at the Krakow Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
