{"id":7982,"date":"2017-09-30T20:15:29","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T18:15:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.krakowfilmfestival.pl\/?p=7982\/"},"modified":"2018-02-01T13:08:47","modified_gmt":"2018-02-01T12:08:47","slug":"film-submission-for-58th-kff-is-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.krakowfilmfestival.pl\/en\/film-submission-for-58th-kff-is-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Film submission for the 58th KFF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Krakow Film Festival is waiting for your film!<br \/>\n <\/strong>Film submission for the 58<sup>th<\/sup> KFF has started.<\/p>\n<p>The 58th Krakow Film Festival will be held from 27 May to 3 June 2018.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We are waiting for documentary, animated and short film submissions to four competitions of equal rank \u2013 one national and three international ones: Short Film Competition, Documentary Competition and DocFilmMusic Competition for music documentary films.<\/p>\n<p>Krakow Film Festival is an Oscar\u00ae qualifying festival which recommends films for the European Film Award in short and documentary category. It has received also FIAPF accreditation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The deadlines for submitting films to the selection in the short, documentary and DocFilmMusic competitions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>for films made prior to 31 October 2017: <strong>30 November 2017<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>for films made after 31 October 2017: <strong>31 January 2018<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the<strong> Short Film Competition<\/strong>, feature, animated and documentary films with a running time of no more than 30 minutes compete for the <strong>Golden Dragon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Films that take part in the<strong> Documentary Competition<\/strong>, are documentary films with a running time longer than 30 minutes, and the best of them gets the <strong>Golden Horn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the<strong> DocFilmMusic Competition<\/strong>, the <strong>Golden Heynal<\/strong> award goes to one of documentary music films with a running time of more than 50 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As for the<strong> National Competition<\/strong>, in which the main award is the<strong> Golden Hobby Horse<\/strong>, only Polish feature and animated films with a running time not exceeding 30 minutes and documentary films of unlimited length can be submitted. Out of the films submitted, the selection committee chooses those which will take part in the international competitions (they have to meet the requirements set for individual competitions).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The films which can participate in the competition are foreign films which were made in 2017 or 2018 that have not been screened publicly before 1 June 2017, and Polish films made in 2017 or 2018. <strong>In all three international competitions, a Polish premi\u00e8re is required, while an international premi\u00e8re is preferred.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Submit your film &gt;&gt;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dot.krakowfilmfestival.pl\/editors.entry\/en\"><strong>FORM<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can follow festival news about the programme of the 58th edition on the Festival\u2019s website and on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/krakowfilmfest\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/krakowfilmfest\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/krakowfilmfestival\/\"><strong>Instagram<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Krakow Film Festival is waiting for your film!
