They will take us to Jamaica, Syria, Switzerland and the United States. All three films will be presented in the international documentary competition.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the filmmakers coming to Krakow is <\/span><b>Till Schauder<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the last year&#8217;s winner of the DocFilmMusic competition for his documentary <\/span><b>\u201cWhen God Sleeps\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> about a life of Iranian musician, Shahin Najafi, living under a fatwa for apostasy. In his latest movie the director takes us to Jamaica, where he follows the national football team preparing to the World Cup qualifications. The team consists of the amateur players who are to be led to success by a coach brought from Germany. However, <\/span><b>\u201c<\/b><b>The Reggae Boyz\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is something more than a story about sport competition. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schauder goes beyond the football field and focuses his camera on the islanders, which results in a colourful picture of the homeland of Bob Marley and Rastafarians, painted with reggae music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8408\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8408\" style=\"width: 437px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8408\" src=\"https:\/\/www.krakowfilmfestival.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/agnieszkafiejka_03-06-2017-7710-729x486.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"437\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.krakowfilmfestival.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/agnieszkafiejka_03-06-2017-7710-729x486.jpg 729w, https:\/\/www.krakowfilmfestival.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/agnieszkafiejka_03-06-2017-7710.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8408\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Till Schauder, the Golden Heynal for his film &#8216;When God Sleeps&#8217;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2014 winner of the Golden Horn, <\/span><b>Talal Derki<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, once again will confront Krakow audience with the sheer terror of the Syrian war. Four years after the horrifying, successful and widely discussed<\/span><b> \u201cReturn to Homs\u201d<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the opening film of the 54th KFF <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the director visits a family of a radicalized ISIS member and follows the process of forming of jihadist fighters. In <\/span><b>\u201cOf Fathers and Sons\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the camera focuses on little boys who are being prepared the join the ranks of ISIS by their beloved fathers, for whom family is especially important. In his latest film <\/span><b>\u201cFell in Love with a Girl\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the director once again talks about family and turns the camera on himself. While his previous film focused on his relation with his largely absent father, this time La Belle analyses his own situation &#8211; being a father and a partner for two women: his ex-wife and his present partner.
