France, Brasil | 2018 | animated | 14 min. Film festivals award winners

For the director and the protagonist of the animation, Guaxuma is not only a beautiful beach on the Brazilian coast, but, above all, the land of her childhood memories and the place where she spent joyful moments with her best friend, Tayra. They promised each other they would be inseparable and their friendship would last forever. All this was changed by one dramatic event. The film is a poignant animation combining different techniques ranging from sand animation to family photos where Brazilian landscapes are mixed with the Japanese tradition. Grand Jury Award at the SXSW Film Festival (USA).
