Partially crowdfunded, the film is an evocative vision of the dystopian future of the world flooded with waste. The direct inspiration was the waste management crisis in Lebanon, but the film has a much more universal message and may be interpreted not only in the context of a local environmental disaster but also global politics, philosophy and social challenges. Despite the weight of the subject, it is also a piece of very atmospheric, almost poetic, cinema. The film has been awarded in Atlanta, Denver and Dubai.
