In the Treptower Park in Berlin, there is a monument dedicated to Soviet soldiers. Each year, on the 9th of May, people gather here to celebrate the Victory Day. Who are they? What makes them bring Soviet flags and Stalin’s portraits? The camera captures this peculiar festival from a distance. The director does not delve into ideology, use interviews or other means of a typical feature story. The film registers the peculiar folklore of World War II marches, historical uniforms and contemporary staffage.
