Born in Orihuela (Spain) in 1982, Elena López Riera is a co-founder of the collective "Lacasinegra", which makes the feature film "Pas à Genève" (2014), among others. Her first short film, "Pueblo", is screened at the Directors' Fortnight in 2015. Her last work, "Las vísceras" had its world premier's at Locarno Film Festival's Pardo di domani competition.
