We Will Talk Again

Poland | 2019 | documentary | 21 min. National competition

Two brothers on the threshold of adulthood are still under the custody of their mother who is strongly supported by their grandmother. In a cluttered flat, they fight for every smallest bit of autonomy; each of them applies different tactics to manoeuvre in this difficult territory. “May you come to your senses at last” - this meaningful Christmas wish from the mother to her son is the best manifestation of mutual relations in the family. Yet someone is missing from the family portrait – the father, whose significant absence returns with dead silence in the phone receiver.
