Never Good

Poland | 2019 | fiction | 17 min. National competition

Who can help, if not the grandpa? Marta and Michał are expecting a child. They would like to live together, not with parents, whose flat is too small, or housemates, who are too loud. They have no money, vague prospects for the future, the delivery is expected anytime soon and the grandfather has been living alone since his wife’s death. How will Wiesław, a former policeman hiding a gun in the cupboard, react to the unexpected idea of his granddaughter who has not seen him much so far?
