The Big Picnic

Poland1981fiction86'

They say you have to steal the first million, which is what 16-year-old Rysiek does after his escape from the children’s home. At the station in Warsaw, he makes friends with Julek and, together, they start to live like millionaires splashing out on the best clothes, cars and hotel apartments. They want to live in the luxury they could never afford before. But nothing lasts forever, in particular money. Just like in a song by Maanam, “the grass is still green, and love is still mad…”.
