A Goat's Spell
Germany2022animated9'
The animation begins in a typical way: a boy eats breakfast and goes to school. On the way he passes a goat. But when the kid returns home and the goat’s milk shatters the sky into a million glass pieces, we already know that nothing will be predictable. This surreal, twisted animation takes us on a psychedelic journey through the author’s imagination. We observe the world from the first-person perspective, having the impression of being both in a computer game and inside a shimmering kaleidoscope of colours. If you have wondered whether there are any limitations in animation, after watching A Goat Spell you already know that there are none. Mindf*cking, both figuratively and literally.
