A story of a remarkable relationship between troublesome dogs from a shelter and inmates who take care of them. The prisoners are supposed to train the dogs so that they are fit for adoption. The stakes are high because if they fail, the dogs will be put down. Captain Tomek, who launched this programme, believes that the training may be beneficial for both sides. A group of inmates begin regular training sessions and gradually become attached to the animals. Rafał, twice convicted of murder, who takes care of one of the dogs, discovers a so-far unknown world – the world of emotions.
