‘Hail Mary, full of grace,’ – repeats a woman praying on her knees. A man recites a rhyme about a shelter he could have built. A grandfather is coughing while painting a picture and a child is running carefree in between them holding a paper plane. Only the little boy cannot feel the atmosphere of anxiety and seems unaffected by generational trauma. Using the technique of digital collage, the animation is reminiscent of Tadeusz Kantor’s Theatre of Death due to the characters, set design and the combination of a tragedy with grotesque.
