9-Month Contract
Georgia, Germany, Bulgaria2025documentary77'Body
Single motherhood has more than one name. The protagonist of this film decides to be a surrogate again in order to secure a better future for her growing daughter. In Georgia, this involves not only legal complications but also social stigma. In addition, Zhana has serious health problems. How long will she manage to hide another pregnancy from Elene? Over the course of many years, the director accompanied both heroines with her camera, creating a highly emotional double portrait, embedded in ethical dilemmas and harsh reality.
