Three ceremonies dedicated to the bond between mother and daughter. The first - in the privacy of the bathroom and in low light - is intimate, combining plans for the future with teenage rebellion and maternal advice. The second is public, loud, bursting with music, colour and emotion. The third remains subdued, sterile, flooded with cool blue light and sadness. Do you know what the secret of life is? To experience the past, the present and the future as if they were one and the same moment. The film features animation by KFF award-winning filmmakers Kasumi Ozeki and Tom Popakul.
