Becoming a Film Director
China2025documentary27'Short Film Competition
A story of two women for whom directing is more than art. The documentary follows their journey from an idea for a film to its making, asking questions along the way about the meaning of creation and showing the difficulties of combining artistic activity with everyday struggles faced by the women. Through their personal experiences, we can discover some of the reasons why the protagonists turned to directing. For them, it is a form of facing their own emotions, trauma or loss, as well as an act of freedom and courage in expressing themselves.
