Sang was one of hundreds of thousands of children sired by American soldiers during the Vietnam War. Today, as a mature man, he would like to meet his biological father. The trip to the US means a lot to him, but when he meets his new family, nothing is as he expected. The journey in search of one’s own identity and a sense of belonging turns into a story about the wrongs suffered, unprocessed traumas and cultural differences. Travelling to and fro between the two continents, the film shows up close how this unusual meeting after so many years affected both sides and what it revealed in the process.
