Pet Farm
Norway2024documentary83'Documentary Competition
Should domestication of wild animals be allowed? Joakim has loved foxes since childhood and, many years later, he fulfilled his dream by setting up a small breeding farm. However, he has to face the regulations in force in Norway and, first and foremost, save the animals from mass euthanasia. Showing his struggle against the system, the film tells a story of the loneliness of the protagonist, for whom furry pets are the only friends. It poses ecological and ethical questions – about man’s relationship with nature today and the limits of individual freedom.
