The Thief
Greenland, Denmark2025fiction19'Short Film Competition
Kaali notices that his beloved dog has disappeared and he is determined to find her. Has she been caught by a local amateur dogcatcher? Or, maybe, someone has stolen her? After all, she hasn’t eaten anything yet, today! A small town on the east coast of Greenland is an unremarkable setting for an odyssey - but it is here, while looking for his pet, that Kaali finds herself. The film was shot in Tasiilaq, the director’s home town, in collaboration with local youths.
