The Whale Song

Poland2025documentary64'National Competition

‘The way a person stammers, groans and searches for words says much more about them than the actual content of the message,’ - this statement uttered by Krzysztof Globisz captures his phenomenon as an actor and man. The film is an impressionistic portrait in which his post-stroke speech recovery becomes self-therapy and a creative process at the same time. It shows how, through his ‘whale haiku’, the protagonist communicates anew with his surroundings, while the viewers are provided with an opportunity to immerse themselves in his inner world for a moment.
