In a grey, frigid house, a woman is cutting vegetables that look more like stones, while a bored girl is playing with building blocks. The mother and daughter hardly speak to each other, treating each other with indifference. Everything is immersed in coldness and routine – even emotions, hidden in silence, and repetitive gestures. One day, a ray of sunshine comes through the window. It melts the ice bringing warmth and hope for change. ‘Cold Home’ is a poetic animation about a difficult family relationship, a child’s longing and the power of tiny glimmers of light in everyday greyness.

She was born in 2000 in Gdynia. She graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Arts in Poznan, creating puppet animation. She is currently pursuing her master's degree at the Faculty of Animation at FAMU in Prague. For her, animation is a medium that allows her to express feelings and thoughts that are often difficult to put into words. She loves manual work, such as painting or sculpting. She believes that one of the greatest advantages of animation is that she can combine these different fields of art into one cinematic work.
