Victims of war, fluffy cats or perfect lips of influencers - social media reels have it all. However, the act of scrolling is no longer a source of emotion but of indifference. It makes audiences addicted and it enslaves creators. With no desire to turn into a zombie, director David Borenstein sets out into the world to investigate the nature of this phenomenon. He reaches the edges of the map, where trolls, propagandists and the influence industry produce the world’s most addictive content. He also discovers potential sources of optimism within the collective nature of Homo sapiens.
