Sanatorium

Ireland, Ukrainedocumentary90'Documentary Competition

Welcome to Kujalnik, a famous spa near Odesa. Its glory days are long gone, and since the Russian invasion in 2022, numbers of visitors have decreased considerably. Nevertheless, it is still possible to take mud baths, receive physiotherapy or simply relax here. Alternatively, one can spend time chatting with a young married woman treated for infertility, a war widow or a soldier gathering strength for further combat. Despite the holiday atmosphere and pleasant ambiance of the place, there is still a war going on nearby. A stay at the Black Sea sanatorium is a temporary return to normality and peace.
