Poland2020animated4'Konkurs polski (2020)
A woman is trying to have a dialogue with a man on a pedestal. She wants to tell him something using the sign language, while he remains silent, cast in stone. Only when the statue is hit by a rock and it begins to fall apart, is there a chance for the two characters to find understanding. This surreal animation transports the viewers from the world in pastel shades into the universe exploding with colours. The rain of meteorites, the components of the hearing organ spinning in space and meaningful gestures make a symbolic story about communication problems.

Katarzyna Kijek and Przemysław Adamski are a creative directing duo with exceptionally diverse filmmaking skills who successfully use live action, stop-motion, computer and traditional animation as well as elements of video post-production in their work.
