THE 70TH BIRTHDAY OF THE LODZ FILM SCHOOL

On the 5th  of October, the Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre  celebrates its 70th anniversary.

It is one of the oldest film schools in the world. The school educates  the students in the art of film, television, cinematography and acting at the four faculties.  Its graduates include the most outstanding Polish directors, cinematographers, actors and film producers.

Every year, at the Lodz Film School, over 300 student films are made: feature films, documentary films, cinematographer films and animated films, using various film techniques and made thanks to the latest film equipment.  The productions of the students often win awards and special mentions at prestigious international film festivals, including the Krakow Film Festival.

For its birthday, we wish the entire School many happy returns: another 70 years of fruitful work, new successes at home and abroad, wonderful productions and many talented students!

Happy birthday from the team of the Krakow Film Foundation and the Krakow Film Festival.
