Today, he tries to lead a peaceful family life, but the demons of war continue to haunt him, and turbulent American reality calls out to him at every turn. In tasteful, black and white frames, the film portrays a man who has not laid down his arms yet and is trying to come to terms with his choices and ambitions in an honest way. It explores the consequences of working as a war photojournalist, which indirectly affects his loved ones, too.

A photographer and filmmaker, a graduate of the Wajda School, and the recipient of numerous Polish and international awards. His documentaries, supported by Canal+ and the Polish Film Institute, have premiered at DOK Leipzig and the Kraków Film Festival. A member of the Panos Pictures agency and founder of Short Docs Media. He has lectured at the Łódź Film School and the University of Warsaw. He successfully combines the world of reportage with documentary film. He has directed the following films: "Nasze Małe Eldorado" (doc., 2023), "Portret Osobisty" (mini-series doc., 2021), "Jerzy i Jerzy na Jeziorach" (doc. 2018), "Budzik" (doc. 2015).
Maciek NabrdalikA documentary photographer who has won numerous awards, including from World Press Photo and Pictures of the Year International. Author of the books 'The Irreversible', 'Homesick' and 'OUT'. He has been working with The New York Times for many years, and in 2017 he was awarded a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University. He lectures in photojournalism at the Łódź Film School. He is a member of Press Club Polska and the Association of Polish Art Photographers. As a cinematographer, his credits include titles such as ‘Eat Up’, ‘What Do You Feel?’, ‘Beyond the Swamp’ and ‘The Stringer’ (premiering at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival).
