Austria, USA2024documentary122'

A story about the clash of human existence with the history of Earth and the universe. Karl, an Austrian astronomer, at the end of his professional career, reviews his life, the state of scientific knowledge, the condition of the world and disappointments related to it. New York’s artist, Jem Cohen, the author of the phenomenal feature film ‘Museum Hours’ (2012), in his essayistic documentary traditionally plays with fiction. In an intimate conversation, which makes the framework of the film, he confronts two scales of time and space – the profound one, which includes prehistory, and its fraction – the scope available to man.
