Is youth governed by its own rights? “My first man was a German named Günter”, reveals Halina Zach, a protagonist of the film on war, memory and how memory tends to focus on fleeting moments of happiness. The interviews and archival photos of occupied Warsaw are supplemented with fragments of rehearsals for a theatre monodrama about love at the time of war. Zofia Wichłacz, a young actress reading Halina Zach’s memoirs, is preparing for a performance under the tutelage of Krystyna Janda.
