Spielfeld

In 2015 the eponymous town on the border between Austria and Slovenia was on everyone’s lips when thousands of immigrants blocked the border crossing there. Even though some time has passed since then, the life in Spielfeld did not go back to normal. The town, which used to bustle with energy, has now withered. Hardly anyone visits local cafes and drivers pass by the local roads. Only guards on their posts are on the lookout at the metal fence that protects the place against another wave of unwanted guests.
