The Escape

It is a short film about suffering, trauma and devastation. Two protagonists, a mother and a son, are balancing on the verge between life and death, trying to save themselves and the world that they have remembered. The first-person perspective of the camera, brutal scenes, takes in darkness and disturbing music create the atmosphere of a gloomy horror. No puppet animation has ever been more frightening.

Author and director of unique animated films which apply the puppet animation technique. Born in 1970 in Lublin. In his animations, he combines the roles of a cinematographer, animator, editor and stage and puppet designer. He studied Printmaking, Painting, Drawing and Animated Film at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. For many years, he has focused on classical easel painting. He worked on the production of many animated films. He is a highly regarded animator of puppet series for children.
