A brutal world of war seen through the eyes of a child who calls airplanes – birds and dropping bombs – eggs. He cannot understand why birds are made of metal or why eggs explode. He also cannot understand why all the horses around him are dead – do they kill themselves? Naive questions of a little boy juxtaposed with a realistic set shown in the “stop motion” mode create a heartbreaking animation about the atrocities of war that does not save anyone.
