As part of an intercultural exchange project, several artists from various countries of Western Europe and China are sent to North Korea to show their works of art to the local artists and also, see their artistic creations. The group of invitees includes, among others, Jean-Emmanuel Simoulin, who creates graphic art from powdered human bones and blood, and Nik Nowak, who experiments with sounds which are inaudible for the human ear. Their every step is thoroughly watched and their plans are constantly modified by the hosts. Will they manage to convince North Korean artists to the genre of art that does not exist in their country?
