‘Pass me a joint’, says Rafa to his mother. The man has been bedridden for over 15 years, which does not stop him from being an incredibly busy and active man. He jumps with a parachute, goes to concerts, makes music, watches pornography or meditates, meets friends or girlfriends as frequently as he visits rehabilitators and specialists. Limitations do not seem to affect him, but chronic pain does. Smoking pot only seems a relaxing ritual to outsiders, but in fact it is one way of relieving the anguish inflicted by his paralysed body. How long will it prove to be effective?
