An Industry Gala will be held today at the Malopolska Garden of Art, during which the first festival winners will be announced. Awards will be given to the authors of the best projects presented during this year’s pitching: Animated in Poland, Docs to Go!, Docs to Start. DOC LAB POLAND is Poland’s largest program aimed at documentary filmmakers. It is co-organized by the Wladyslaw Slesicki Film Foundation, the next session of which took place during the 63rd Krakow Film Festival.
The prelude to the award ceremony of the KFF Industry and Doc Lab Poland will be an extraordinary concert realised within the framework of Retroteka with FINA National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute.
Młynarski/Masecki/Markowicz concert
The Młynarski / Masecki / Markowicz Trio will take you to the theatres and cabarets of the interwar Warsaw. You will have an opportunity to enjoy the repertoire written by the greatest interwar authors of popular music, such as Henryk Wars, Zygmunt Białostocki, Marian Hemar or Emmanuel Schlechter. This time it includes songs from the lost world of Polish Jews. Amusing skits, poignant ballades and klezmer jazz tunes bring back the memories of the people and the world long gone, which becomes alive for a short while during the concert.
