Daimi

Denmark / 2012 / fiction / 19' / Focus on Denmark

As a result of mysterious circumstances, teenage Daimi spends Christmas in a run-down flat where she takes care of an odd pet, a small pig. Her home is shrouded in darkness and the atmosphere inside is exceptionally ominous despite Christmas decorations. Cockroaches run across the dirty kitchen and access to the bathroom is limited. Gradually, seemingly abstract and illogical events are beginning to make sense. The film is a surprising and courageous story about loneliness, fear and ways to come to terms with reality.
