Locked Out

France2020documentary24'Konkurs krótkometrażowy (2021)

A documentary elegy for the poor, destitute and homeless. The protagonists of the film are three people without a place to live, forgotten by the welfare system and the society. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when European cities were deserted, their lives became even more unstable. The filmmakers suggest an alternative perspective on the events of recent months. ‘You are lucky to have a roof over your heads’, ‘you have topics for conversations in front of the TV’ – these words directed at people for whom staying at home is just a passing difficulty make an accusation which is heard by no one.
