A shocking picture of the reality of the Warsaw Ghetto. Typhus, lice and other diseases were nothing compared to the epidemic of hunger that reigned behind its walls and affected almost all the inhabitants of the separated part of the city. Malnourished, weak and wasted by numerous diseases, the Jews were dying in the streets. Food was scarce everywhere, no help was forthcoming, and medical care was hard to get. Thanks to archival photographs and recordings, we may see a sample of the nightmare that befell a thousand people.
