A prisoner learns that he is to be executed the next day. Exhausted and terrified, he tries to sleep on his bunk. During the night, unexpectedly, his cell door swings open. The man can escape. Will he manage to regain his freedom? Will he even dare to reach for it? Fear is mixed with hope and hallucinations, while and every sound makes him anxious. A gloomy animation in black in which the protagonist is trapped in the labyrinth of not only prison corridors but also his own fears and anxieties.

Born in 1986 in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, Christoph didn’t had a clue of his artistic career for a very long time. He worked as a Deutsche Telekom technican, graduated in media technology, has been a call center agent and finally animated computer games. Filmuniversity Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF was his life saver in 2015. There he delved into side streams of film making. Six years and two kids later he climbed out of the animation dungeon, glady gasping for air: His first movie was finished!
